Emily Henry is a native of Lawrence, KS, and a graduate of the KU School of Music, having earned both a Bachelor of Music Education and a Master of Music for Choral Conducting.

As an undergraduate, she was a member of numerous performing ensembles including Collegium Musicum, KU Concert Choir, KU Chamber Singers, and the KU Marching Jayhawks. She also hosted a special program for two years on 90.7 KJHK, KU’s college radio station, and as a graduate student she worked with the KU Women’s Chorale and Chamber Singers, and returned to the Marching Jayhawks as a Graduate Teaching Assistant.

Emily is passionate about both her hometown and alma mater, and is thrilled to have the opportunity to communicate with prospective students about the amazing experiences they will have as both a Lawrence resident and a Jayhawk. She believes that students will find a new home in both Lawrence and the KU School of Music, and as they say: “There’s no place like home.”
