Jayhawk Drumline Academy

For students entering grades 9 – 12

2020 Camp Dates

Friday, June 12 - Saturday, June 13, 2020

This workshop is intended for the marching percussionist at any level, from any-sized program.  We invite students from large and small programs alike!  Entire drumlines are also welcome.  Instruction is available on snare drum, tenor drums, or bass drum.

Sessions run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 on Friday, June 12, and 9:00 to 4:00 on Saturday, June 13. Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. on Friday in Murphy Hall on the KU campus. More information will be emailed to participants prior to the workshop.

Participants should bring their own sticks, mallets, instruments, and stands. Snare drum players should also bring a practice pad and stand, if possible.  

Cost is $125 and includes lunches and a t-shirt. Please note that this is not an overnight camp and housing is not provided. Registration deadline is Sunday, June 7.

High school band programs or booster organizations are encouraged to register groups.
