Richard Ryan is thrilled to join the faculty of the University of Kansas. A native of Arizona, Richard has performed and taught the double bass all over the Midwest. After graduating from Indiana University where he studied under Bruce Bransby, Richard joined the Louisville Orchestra as Assistant Principal Bass. He is currently a bassist with the Kansas City Symphony, and has also performed with Chicago and Indianapolis Symphony Orchestras.
